Threw the packing away, but think that it said "made in Taiwan." By the way, if you intend to buy one - it does work very well if kept floured- buy the 24" instead of the 18" if you make roulades or cinnamon rolls..

Can it be used in the oven?

If you read the description it does say can withstand temp -30 to 470. And can be taken from freezer straight to oven. And says it's BAKING MAT and for rolling dough.

How does this mat do on tile? I have an uneven tiled counter top that I would love a large flat surface to work with dough on.

It does great and does not slip. I love mine.

If I trim it, will it be safe to use with food?

I love mine if you need a smaller area just fold it. Its safe with food and the nonslip surface is terrific. Wash with mild soap and rinse with water its easy to clean.
