Remle Alto Saxophone Mouthpiece (B817)

I'm wary of buying mouthpieces sight unseen much less never played on so this is my first thru Amazon. I have a Sugal and a Bay mouthpieces that I like but really wanted to try the Beechler since Eric Marienthal plays one. I was very skeptical about getting a mouthpiece thru the mail that would just play out of the box. My experience has been to go to a store that sells and try out at least 3 identical mouthpieces since they always seem to play different from each other. I must say I'm very happy with how this plays, smooth all the way from the top to the bottom of the horn. A Vandoren 2.5 works the best with this. Intonation is also very good and the MP is easy to control. I'll be switching over to this and using my other 2 MP's as backups or when a different sound is needed. The strange thing is my hard rubber Bay actually plays brighter than the Beechler in my opinion, although they are different sounding MP's. This is a great MP, very happy with it.

The mouthpiece for my saxophone instrument changed my performance in a music show which was indeed produced a sound of sax that I need. It's worth buying. This mouth fits perfectly with the Selmer Henri Super Action 80 serie ii. No negative comment from my side all good.

Excellent metal mouthpiece. However, I had to use lesser strength reed.

Very disappointed in the quality of this mouthpiece. Appears to be a knockoff.
