Transformers: The IDW Collection Volume 4

And YES, It is a must for every transformers fan. Pages are in impecable condition. It even has a foreword from the artists in the beginning. And for all those thinking there are no cover arts. YES they are IN there. I love the hard covers of each Volume. A Decepticon / Autobot stands out with its massive bust. Way cool. My only hope if they would release the G1 Comic Encyclopedia again MTMTE Volumes, and in this very way. (But thats another story) --------------- About the shippment. I am from Chile and I requested this comic through Amazon. The comics did arrive in the nick of time (even earlier than I expected) and in impecable condition. So.. Five Stars for this. .............. One important notice. For all you transformers fans. I would highly recommend to buy these editions now. They are invaluable. If you wait too long (maybe a couple of years), maybe its value would raise too much and two things might happen. I will be out of stock! You might find it for an absurd price like it happened on the More Than Meets the Eye Transformer encyclopedia. (Right now the prices is very reasonable). And I will end once again. It's very much worth it.

Excellent collection! This collection decisively wraps up the “Dead Universe/Nemesis Prime” storyline. It also includes the Maximum Dinobots. As good as the Dead Universe wrap-up is, the true highlight is Maximim Dinobots. Amazing action and Great storytelling. This collection leads very cleanly leads up to All Hail Megatron! Highly recommended.

All of the IDW collections are fantastic, and an excellent, chronological compilation of their extensive library. Book is full color, glossy high-quality paper, and ENORMOUS, with a sturdy, elegant hard cover. The artwork within is gorgeous, and storytelling is fantastic. This and it's three predecessors, are some of my prized possessions.

This volume caused me to wonder why I have been so interested in Transformers since 1984. The beginning of the story had me confused, angry and disappointed. Did I miss something? Did I skip a page somewhere? Turns out the answer to both of these questions was no. I kept reading anyway. Then I turned one page and the tables turned! In fact, they turned in such a way that I completely forgot how dismal and gloomy the story was before. This is most excellent story writing and it would be fantastic if the movies were based on these books instead of the toys.

i'm reading all of the idw collection, so of course this is on my list. this was delivered a couple days before the estimated delivery date and was in perfect condition. not to mention the artwork and story lines are amazing.

The best part of this volume is the 5 part Dynobots! Love the destruction the cause everywhere! This volume also included the four part Drift story which isn't my favorite - just another redemption story. The Spotlights: Cyclonus, Hardhead, Doubledealer, Sideswipe, Drift, Metroplex and Jazz are cool. Spotlight: Drift is really just part five of the four part Drift story as it concludes with Drift joining the Autobots. The production is great quality - the book is hardcover with a built in ribbon as a book mark. The spine binding is meant to last. Fantastic for Transformers fans.

IDW's hardcover reprint collections rock. Amazing quality and much better than having stacks of comics laying around. I love that it has the ribbon bookmark too. Again AMAZING print quality. Well worth every cent!

This book is the perfect addition to the IDW collection. It has amazing art, great stories and it well worth the cost.

Bought as a present for a transformers fan. He loves them and they look great on display. Can't wait for the next one to be released.

The fourth Volume in Phase One starts to wrap up the first main arc; however not in the way you would think going buy the last few volumes. The main story Arc told in these Volumes as: Infiltration, Stormbringer, Escalation, Devastation is then concluded with a series of four one-shots. Which when I was collecting these in trade paperbacks 10 years ago made is slightly confusing. But with this new omnibus collecting all the stories everything slots together beautifully. Sadly with the wrap up of the first main story arc we see Simon Furman depart (he will have stories in later volumes because of the chronological order) and from here on our there is some inconsistency in the story telling. This Volume is worth your time if you have been collecting the others.

The collection is awesome , we see many artist and stories, the draw are absolutely beautiful and the stories are nice and interesting !

Leider wie bei den anderen Bänden ist die Verpackung für den Versand sehr schlecht gewählt. Ich musste bei einigen Büchern also einen Ersatz erstatten da durch den Versand Schäden entstanden sind. Wäre die Verpackung besser gewählt und die teils sehr schweren Bücher besser gepolstert wäre dies nicht passiert. Dennoch gut für jeden Transformers Fan! Die Bücher an sich sind sehr hochwertig!

Another great addition to the series. My strong recommendation however would be the reading order of the Drift comics featured inside. The volume contains the 4 part Drift story followed by Drift's spotlight in that order. thought that's technically how it happens chronologically, my advice would be to read the spotlight first and then the 4 part story. It makes for a much better story as you go back in time to learn his past which makes you feel that much stronger for the character after reading the spotlight.
