Pictures are from Air (not Air 2), also Photive site don't have this model. Can someone confirm?** A: Yes. This is made for the iPad Air 2 and it fits that model perfectly. **Q: Does the case magnetize on the back cover** A: I believe it does magnetize on the back cover when you have it opened. Can't answer 100% since mine is over two years old and the magnets fell out (on the market for a new one). Just don't think it was a strong bond since you do have to go through the plastic cover for the magnet to attach. **Q: Does front piece separate from back** A: No it doesn't separate into two pieces **Q: is the interior of the back a soft material to keep dirt that works it's way in from scratching the back of the iPad?** A: Yes, it is a very soft microfiber. That's pretty good for a sub-$20 case. All of the cutouts for the buttons, switches, cameras, microphones, and ports are accurately placed and appropriately sized. It protected my iPad well, and it still looked like new when I put it into its new case.The first part that failed on this case was the magnets in the edge of the case started to come out. Eventually I super-glued them back in. That worked fine and actually lasted the life of the case. Eventually all the edges of the top flap of the case came un-bonded. The case never failed and I could probably have used it for quite a while longer, but it doesn't look as good as it used to.I think I used this case on my iPad just as long as I would have used any much more expensive case. This was a pretty good case for the money.
