I've always used basic canvas / cloth laundry bags, and no matter how neatly I fold then pack the clean laundry, upon unpacking things are jostled around and wrinkled. I think the next use will be for long term clothing and linen storage (like seasonal items not in use and extra linens / blankets). The durable plastic will keep dirt & dust & moisture from getring on the items and the shape of the bag will keep the folded items well. A lot like a drawer in a chest of drawers does. These bags would be great for camping and sports gear too (storing & schlepping). Did you use one big vacuum sealer bag is it a bunch of packs. Also how dense is the “weed”. And how much are you going to suck it down. But if it’s airy/larf probably not as much as if it were rock solid. **Q: How does this have such high ratings ? So many have complained of the zipper breaking** A: I ordered two sets for moving. The zipper was detached on one of the bags upon arrival. I used duct tape to secure. You can’t force the zippers like you can on a suitcase or fabric duffel bag. Pack so the zipper closes easily. The zippers are fabric, the bags are plastic. They were wonderful for moving clothes that weren’t hanging. **Q: Are they waterproof?** A: I've spilled water on them and left them outside in heavy rain for two day. If you spill some water on them and the zipper is closed nothing will get wet. If you leave them outside in the rain they will get some condensation on the inside, but it will keep most of the water out! **Q: How thick is the plastic used, in mm?** A: The bags I got, that are the "clear" (but NOT CLEAR) moving bags with backpack straps, arent plastic at all.
