SKIL Corded Detail Sander, Includes 3pcs Sanding Paper and Dust Box - SR250801

I love this little handheld sander I purchased it for crafting and light woodworking. It does the trick. I do suggest that you purchased different grades of sanding paper to come along with it as you will need to replace them quickly.

Works awesome. Great price. Corded tools though cumbersome always deliver better power. No complaints.

This is a very small tool! Easy to use for a beginner! Does as advertised! I bought it because we had to replace a portion of the drywall, then put a joint compound. Realized needed sanding and this was recommended. I will recommend buying the sanding packet pad that comes with 60/80/90/120/240 grit pads because the pads that comes with the tool only has 3 120 grit pads.

This sander is great, works very well & is easy to use. I love having this for smaller jobs that my other ones are just too big for & I love that it fits in my hand better than the bigger ones. My only problem is that I haven't been able to find the same size sanding pads for it. I've bought several different ones that work but none are the actual size of this & the holes (assuming for the dust to go in) don't match up on the other pads I've bought). I highly recommend the sander itself, but wish I could find the right size sanding pads for this specific sander (kind of annoying, but not the sanders fault. Lol)

This item is a great buy! Good Price! Very functional for my purposes, which were two-fold: (1) Smoothing out Wood Filler repairs for an assortment of wood damage to furniture, and (2) smoothing out drywall and joint tape. The SKIL sander only comes with three hook-and-eye sander sheets, so you will need to buy more 11-hole sheets for larger projects. This SKIL orbital sander only has one speed, but I only needed one speed. The only drawback I felt was probably an intended design feature; that is, holding the unit feels a bit awkward as there is no specific grip defined. You have to find your own way to hold the unit while in use. Fortunately, I have fairly large hands, so no problem for me. I say this "no defined hand hold" feature is probably an intentional design feature because you have to get creative in the way you hold the unit to do the very precise sanding in tight corners. I would buy this product again.

These sanders are incredible. The filter gets almost all the dust. Just wonderful and they make it simple not to oversand one spot. Everyone needs one of these and this one is one of the most reliable brands. Great value.

Love it. I mostly use it for drywall projects to get into the tight corners where two walls and the ceiling meet. I have not used the dust cartridge because the stem that the cartridge fits on happens to be the perfect size for my vacuum cleaner hose.

I just bought my first home about a month ago and tackled my first project; removing the carpet from my stairs. The 80 year old wood treads are in desperate need of a good sanding, so I decided to purchase a sander. I chose this one because of the low price and decent reviews. So far this sander is working great! It only took a few minutes to remove all the old stain and reveal the wood grain on one tread. It’s very easy to use. I am not someone who ever uses power tools (I don’t even own a power drill...) and I would say this is extremely easy to use. You pretty much just slap on a sanding pad and flip the switch on. It also doesn’t generate a massive amount of dust thanks to the filter at the back. It’s not extremely loud to the point that you would need ear protection but it is noisy obviously. I’m super happy with this sander and super happy I don’t have to sand every tread by hand 😅 definitely worth the $25! I can’t wait to finish my stairs now!!

I bought this sander based on it being a brand name vs some random no-name product. It's purpose was to sand a set of stairs to take off the varnish down to the original wood. I bought course paper, 40. But the sander was just not fast enough to do the job efficiently. I borrowed a stronger sander and used the same paper and it removed the varnish very quickly. I believe the sander is quality and will be useful for other jobs, just much lighter sanding and not to be used for removing thick varnish/paint or taking down a large amount of rough wood

The box contained sanding paper all the same shape not happy as I needed the different shapes so can’t use them for the job I’m trying to finish was supposed to be mixed paper Tegards Moira MEIKLE
