e-motion Fountain Pen, Pure Black - Broad

This quick review is for the BOLD nib E-Motion. For general writing, correspondence, and note taking I prefer a fine to medium nib. As a consequence I only own 4 bold nibbed fountain pens (out of 175). This E-Motion BOLD has changed my mind about bold nibs. It is very smooth and required no adjustments. It's great around the office when you want your writing to be noticed. In a world of tweets, texting, and email, a hand written note in big black bold writing gets noticed with it's expressiveness. The Faber-Castell E-Motion line is less than half of the cost of most of my higher end pens but it looks, feels, and writes like a higher end pen. The weight is substantial and feels of quality. It is cartridge fill or converter fill (converter included) and since it uses a ton of ink be prepared to fill often.

I own many expensive fountain pens, and this is one of the best values. Feels solid. Never a dry start. Smooth and fun to write with. Very durable, finish is resistant to scratches or nicks. Faber Castell nibs are consistently great writers. I'd rate it a 6 out of 5!

Have been collecting fountain pens for at least 40 years now. This pen with the broad nib is by far the smoothest writer I own. Great for calligraphy as well. Nice which, feels good in my hand.

The pen is fantastic, with only one exception. I bought mine on July 24, 2024, and it arrived on time. My order was for the B nib, and the nib provided indicated that it was a B nib. However, it is written like an M nib. It's a German pen, and therefore, the nibs are inherently more robust than categorized nibs. If only my nib were "broad."

I have two Faber-Castell pens and they are both fantastic. The grip is rightly sized. The nib is medium which is great for every day writing. I highly recommend the brand and this specific pen.

This fountain pen feels fantastic in the hand. It has a smooth ink flow with a nice heft to it. It's also referred to as "Stealth"

Questa stilografica è veramente bella. Ci sono stilografiche di fascia alta che sono belle (poche, a parer mio.... molte sboccano nel pacchiano) e ci sono stilografiche che costano relativamente poco che sono oggettivamente bellissime. La Faber Castell e-Motion Pure Black appartiene, secondo me, a questa categoria. Innanzitutto il design è funzionale, con pochi fronzoli. Il colore nero di tutti i suoi elementi, pennino compreso, si nota, pur nella sua semplicità. La fiitura del materiale sembra essere resistente per quanto sospetto, che nel tempo, tenderà a deteriorarsi facendola scolorire. Vedremo, personalmente ritengo che i segni del tempo su una penna ne accrescano il fascino... Del resto se compro una penna è per usarla, non per tenerla in atmosfera controllata. La penna è piuttosto pesante; sospetto che tutte le sue parti siano di ottone. Personalmente trovo le penne pesanti gradevoli da utilizzare, ma c'è chi potrebbe trovare la penna stancante per questa ragione. Anche la dimensione della penna è importante... chi ha la mano piccola potrebbe risentirne. Il tappo ha la chiusura a vite; durante l'uso è possibile attaccarlo all'estremità della penna, risolvendo la sensazione di "penna piccola" che l'uso senza tappo incastrato potrebbe dare. Personalmente la trovo confortevole da usare sia con che senza tappo agganciato sul fondo. E' una penna che funziona sia con inchiostro in cartucce che con il converter che è fornito con la penna stessa. E forse questo è l'unico appunto che mi permetto di fare su questa stilografica: un sistema di caricamento a pistone integrato secondo me se lo meritava tutto. Ho comprato la penna con un pennino B che risulta essere molto scorrevole, anche se forse a posteriori l'avrei preferita con un pennino M. Per intenderci il B Faber Castell è appena più spesso di un M Lamy (che a mio giudizio è un M generoso) che a sua volta è un filo più spesso di un M TWSBI (il mio ideale). Valutare attentamente il pennino da scegliere in fase di acquisto in quanto per ora sono solo riuscito a trovare ricambi del gruppo pennino + impugnatura per le e-motion con il fusto in sintetico e in legno; per quanto ritengo che siano perfettamente compatibili usandoli si snatura la stilografica in esame, in quanto le si cambia sia l'impugnatura che il pennino con metallo cromato/satinato NON nero - e la Pure Black è bella anche perchè è tutta nera.

Una magnífica pluma estilográfica. Funcional y práctica.

Le E-Motion de Faber-Castell est un excellent stylo-plume, qui se prend bien en main malgré son poids (mais moi j’aime bien avoir un stylo-plume qui pèse plus que la moyenne) pour un effet classe ! Sa couleur noire, mais surtout sa texture (grâce à l’aluminium) lui donnent un effet fou ! Au niveau de l’écriture, c’est un vrai délice ! Le corps du stylo permet une belle prise en main, et la plume permet un débit régulier. Il permet d’avoir une écriture très fluide ! Il ravira tout le monde pour sa fluidité ! Le petit bémol pour moi, c’est qu’il n’y a pas de cartouche de test, qui permettrait de l’utiliser tout de suite.

Me ha gustado mucho el tiempo de envío standar. Lo que no me esperaba, es, que no llegara con un simple recambio para probarla. Tampoco me gustó que la caja con el contenido de la pluma, llegara abierta, ( manipulada como para ver el interior ) y con el precinto de referencia roto. Me hizo dudar de si el contenido, ( la pluma ), es la de la referencia. Por lo demás, la pluma me parece genial.
