Great Safety Gift for Anyone — Not Just Women
I purchased this personal alarm 5-pack as Christmas gifts for multiple family members — my aunt, my mother, my stepmother, and even my dad. While these are often marketed toward women, I truly believe they’re useful for anyone. My dad is almost 73 and still walks nightly in the woods by himself while hunting. I thought this would be an extra layer of safety if, God forbid, something were to happen and he couldn’t make it back to his vehicle. If cell service were weak or unavailable, pulling the alarm could help pinpoint his location or alert someone nearby. They’re lightweight, loud, easy to attach to a keychain, and simple to use — no learning curve. That’s especially important for older adults, kids, or anyone who might panic in an emergency. Overall, this is a thoughtful, practical safety device that works for women, men, seniors, teens — truly anyone who wants added peace of mind. I’m very glad I bought the multi-pack and would absolutely recommend it.

Quality
I got them for Christmas gifts and when they got here, I tried one of them out. It was very loud and I think that would be a good deterrent. So as long as the battery stays up and it continues to work, I would recommend it to anyone. The price was good and the product seems to be good.

Loud and reasonably priced
Bought these as stocking stuffers and tried them all out and they seem to work well. The alarm is loud and the LED light is very bright. They come with batteries already installed. They have a split ring on a short metal chain so they can be attached to a key ring, etc. The fabric strap can be pulled easily to sound the alarm but it's not so loose that it will just fall out. These would be good for elderly people as a way to sound the alarm if they fell, etc. and of course they are handy because of the flashlight. There are a variety of colors and they seem to be well made.

Loud and will definitely get attention
These are loud and will surely get someone's attention if they go off. Lately in my town there has been alot of lawlessness; more than usual, at least to my knowledge and its very scary especially for women at night and the elderly. These will also hopefully scare unleashed dogs if they come charging when walking your own little pets. They are battery operated so you can also buy the battery here on amazon and they have a built-in flashlight. Colors are nice also. I have one on my purse along with my pepper spray and on my key chain and inside my car. I also gave some to my daughters, one who works graveyard shift at the local hospital, and one to each of my grand kids. I retired in the beginning of winter and gave some to my co- workers as well as it would soon be getting dark by the time they would be getting off work, especially if they had to work overtime as we were sometimes asked to do during winter workloads. Hopefully none of us will ever have to use them, but if we do at least we'll have something to at the very least get someone's attention who will help or get help. Over time I've purchased several of these alerts to give to family, friends and neighbors. These are pretty and loud and have a built in flashlight and are reasonably priced. I strongly recommend these.

This Thing is SO LOUD!! It Scared Me!
I initially wasn’t going to write a review, but after tonight I have to. I bought a second set of these after I bought my first set last year and misplaced them all. I have one in my car and one on my key chain. I gave the other 3 to my mom. I sent my boyfriend to my car to get something out of it, fall asleep two minutes later, and I’m woken up to the sound of a fire alarm. My roommates and I are panicking because we don’t know why the alarm is going off. We’re frantically texting our building groupchat and a few people respond they can hear the alarm, too, from a floor below us. Finally, I see my broken alarm, with the pin MISSING, sitting in my boyfriend’s hands and put two and two together. It’s 12 AM and I don’t see the pin anywhere, so I figure I’ll just break it. I get a hammer, try smashing the thing, and it doesn’t budge or break or crack. I’m banging on this thing like my life depends on it. Nothing. I send my boyfriend off to go look for the pin/string, and we finally silence the little bugger. For a 2 inch alarm that weighs like 3 ounces, it had everyone in our dorm fooled thinking it was a fire. Now, I’ve never ever pulled the pin out, even accidentally, so I had no idea it could/would be this loud. Also, the pin isn’t something that can easily just slip out, bc everyday I have my keys twisted in things, rubbing against things in my book bag, and shoved in tight spaces, so please don’t worry about the pin falling out (unless you’re SUCH an oblivious, rough man that you somehow lost a pin that hadn’t come out in months after only having the keys in an EMPTY pocket. I still have no idea how he managed to pull out the pin and DIDN’T KNOW. Ugh, men. *facepalm*) This little sucker packed a PUNCH and if people on our floor and UNDER our floor heard it too, it’ll no doubt be loud enough to warn anyone nearby, on the horrible chance it actually needs to be used. Because my boyfriend somehow pulled the pin out AND broke it off the keychain (again, I DON’T KNOW HOW. This thing is SO STURDY), it’s not usable anymore so I have to re-order a third pack. If you’re having second thoughts, don’t. Buy this alarm or at least another one with 140 DB. This could save a life or at the very least, prevent a horrible trauma from happening to you or someone you love.

Wow, so much for so little, So easy to use.
I wanted to show people how these work so I added a small video. Crazy how easy they work. After reading people didn't get instructions my instructions were in the bottom of the box, show how they work and explain how to remove the screw and change the battery so the battery can be changed. All 5 of mine worked and my other worry was would they be simple enough for my 5 year old grand child, I'm sure they are. The pin pulls easily with the side rope and easily goes back in to turn off the alarm. I will make sure the 4 grand children visiting for the summer this year each have one and know how to use it. I'll buy 4 carabiners for them to attach them to their back pack or button holes or something so they can just reach for the little rope if they ever have a need to pull it. I know my 10 year old grand daughter was approached at a school yard park this past month by a strange man that many had seen hanging around and probably could have used it then. Some of the older kids saw the exchange between the two and reported it to the school or her mother would not have been aware. This would have given a tool to use just to draw attention of those near by. The man had asked her what she was doing and where she lived, she had evaded his questions and left but a device like this would have been useful.
