Buy this one
Excellent. Exactly as described. Fits a 15/32 inch hole perfectly. Use a step drill bit for a super easy clean hole in a jar lid. Oreilly sells a kit that includes a step drill bit with the correct size. Best value for money. Excellent durability, I tested one by puncturing it 20 times. As long as you use slightly different spots it lasts easily 10-15 punctures with a 16 gage needle.

Game changers for liquid culture jars
These are game changers for liquid cultures for mushroom cultivation. Super cheap for how easy they make sterile spore and LC transfers.

Worked flawlessly.
100% success with zero contaminates. No problems being pressure cooked at 15psi for 90 minutes. The ports can be used multiple times, but they're so cheap I use new ones each time. 100 for $10 is an excellent buy.

The 15 mm SHIPs fit nice and snug in a 1/4in hole, at least for standard metal canning lids. You will have to pinch and pull them through from the other side, but that's a good thing. Going by the dimensions, I first tried a 9/32 hole, but that was a bit too loose. Use a sharp bit with a sacrificial block of wood under your metal lids to prevent a lot of burs, and hand-twist a large bit on the backside to clear those up - not that that side being sharp matters too much, but it could damage your SHIPs over time. I haven't used them fully yet but just going by initial impressions I'd say these are well worth the money and effort.
