Or can I just set my rifle in it and shut it.** A: No plucking. Just put your rifle in it. The foam is in layers. If your rifle is thick you can take our a layer so it doesn't fit too tight. **Q: Will this case fit a 40 inch browning BLR with a scope?** A: I have a scoped (50mm diameter) Ruger Hawkeye LTR (about 47 inches overall length) and it fits in the case comfortably. If you have an excessively large scope, it might be less comfortable. **Q: Fits AR15?** A: Yes absolutely even with full size optic.
