I have actually used one and they do work. Be sure to snug the strap up good and tight before you start twisting the stick. Yes the orange is overpriced compared to the black ones, but I buy the orange ones anyway for one simple reason: on the rare occasion that you actually need a tourniquet, you need it immediately. You don't want to be wasting time rummaging around in your medical kit looking for it. N.A.R. has done the research and field testing required to save lives. there are a few types of C.A.T. s on the market. if this is the style you prefer - don't go cheap!! go N.A.R. there are many Asian knock-offs.
