To start this review i'm not biased. If a tool is garbage i'm going to voice that my favorite tool brand is Milwaukee but Skil is my go to for budget tools. Out of the box is pretty standard accessories you find with Skil this included the blade, manuals battery and charger. The blade does not come installed but no big deal you can install it just note to LOOSEN you turn right not left like you would expect. I only bought this because I can't be plugged into an outlet all the time and need to take a saw in areas where power is not accessible. I plunged into a 2x6 and while it didn't slice through like butter it did make a nice cut. This is levels above other brands I tried a Craftsman i got for free before i bought that and it was way under powered. This will do the job for your standard wood pieces. Would highly recommend.

Didn't know I needed this until I did! Love'n some battery powered tools. Works like a charm and no cord to get in the way. Cuts true.... Haven't used it but a few times - battery stays powered - I wanted it for plywood (140 t-blade) & 24 T cross-cut for 2 bys. Love it!

I used the saw today on a project making approximately 20 cuts on treated 2x4. This was my first time using a battery power tool and I was apprehensive about how it would work. I performed the job very well and the fit and finish of the tool was excellent. All the features worked as one would want. I highly recommend and for the price it seems like a very good deal. The only question left now is longevity.

Decent saw but why are all these cordless saws left handed?

I mostly use this tool because I got tired of cutting boards or 2x4s unevenly by hand. I'd then spend a lot of time straightening out my uneven cuts. I really thought circular saws were expensive, like over $100. So I did a little digging, and pleasantly found this particular one that seems more than enough for my needs. I wanted one with a port for a vacuum or a bag, because I'm using this in my attic! This was a must for me. I almost bought a cheaper one (by $10) that has a 5 1/2" blade and 10mm arbor, but it seems easier to find blade replacements for 6 1/2" with 16mm arbor. This one also turns slightly faster at 4500rpm instead of 4200 rpm. And lastly, for $70, you get a cordless that comes with a battery and a charger, so I thought that was really reasonable. (Btw, i missed the chance to buy a set battery for $80 and get this tool for free...yeah...). Anywho, I've only used it to cut 2x4s, particle boards for shelves and thin MDFs. Works great. I also use my cheapo $30 craftsman vacuum along with it and that helps in sucking alot of the finer saw dust. I only end up with bigger chunks on the floor. Overall, very happy with the tool.

So far so good. I am a small female and I wanted something that wouldn't be too heavy because my wrists and hands have become weaker from arthritis. After a lot of reading and comparison I chose this saw and very happy with it. It cuts nicely and is easy to handle for someone my size and strength. I don't have room anymore for my chop saw so got this as a replacement. Glad I did and definitely recommend it. I haven't done any 45° cuts yet but 90degree cuts are perfect. The battery seems to last a decent amount of time granted I don't use it for long stretches. Mostly use it for small projects and a few cuts at a time so it serves me well. Also after I've used it I always charge it back up because I don't want to run out in the middle of a project. So I'm not really sure how long it would last if you used it for an hour for example. It's not the fanciest saw or the best saw but it's well priced and I like it. Good for a person like myself. The only con I can think of is that it doesn't have a laser or light when it's running. But that wasn't a big deal for me so I got it anyway. Edit after 6 months Still happy battery has good life and no issues. Will be getting a 40 tooth blade for finer cuts but 24 has served quite well so far for small cuts.

Muy práctica por ser ligera y relativamente potente gracias a la batería de iones de litio, sin embargo solo la recomiendo para trabajos ligeros tablas de no más de 1 pulgada de grueso y eso haciendo el corte en al menos dos pasadas. Traté de cortar un listón de 4x4 pulgadas y fue demasiado aun cuando la profundidad del corte era aprox 1/3 del espesor despues del primer corte completo comenzó a perder potencia y se apagó. Ah y para los que apenas se inicien en carpintería los discos de esta son más pequeños que los de las alámbricas y tienen que ser para Skill, Bosch o Makita para asegurarse de la compatibilidad de la tuerca de seguridad.
